Ethiopia's Fatherless Family Redemption Program

Our Fatherless Family Redemption program in Ethiopia shares the redeeming power of God with families who are living without a father and facing social stigma and shame. Through our Gospel-centered program, we empower at-risk single mothers and their children, equipping them with the dignity, confidence, and tools needed to thrive spiritually, socially, and economically.

ETHIOPIA Fatherless Family Redemption program provides:

Spiritual Development
Families are introduced to the Gospel and supported through counseling, discipleship and connection to a local church.
Business Training
Single mothers receive life skills and business training, start-up capital, and ongoing mentoring to build sustainable income and restore dignity.
Education & Children Programs
Children receive school tuition and supplies, along with educational support and enrichment through weekly tutoring, life skill activities, field trips, and summer camps.
Support & Health Care
Fatherless families receive monthly food and hygiene supplies, medical care, and health education.
Community Outreach
We extend care to the broader community by helping prevent crisis among additional fatherless families through essential resources and compassionate support.

THE IMPACT

By keeping families together, hundreds of single mother families are breaking the cycle of generational poverty. Children who were once at risk of homelessness or trafficking are now safe, in school, and thriving. Families are living with dignity, experiencing redemption, and finding renewed hope to fulfill their God-given purpose.

WHERE WE SERVE

We serve fatherless families in three regions of Ethiopia, with each location tailored to meet the unique needs of its community.

ADDIS ABABA

Serving inner-city single mothers and their children in Ethiopia’s capital city. Mothers receive in-depth business training in areas such as selling injera bread, spices, coffee, poultry and produce at local markets.

Children participate in weekly discipleship programs, field trips, and an annual summer camp, while also receiving educational support and personalized tutoring.

Our staff also extends care within the community by supporting children with disabilities.

WOLISO

Located southwest of the capital, this rural program partners with local churches to reach vulnerable fatherless families. Mothers are equipped through business training in various areas including agriculture, basket weaving, seedling nurseries, and honey production.

Children receive educational support, attend tutoring sessions three times a week, and participate in weekly discipleship activities.

HARAR

Serving families in eastern Ethiopia, mothers are trained and equipped in businesses such as roasted peanuts production, cookstove assembly, and urban agriculture.

Children receive critical after-school support that helps prevent school dropout, substance abuse, violence, child labor, and exploitation, empowering them to stay in school and have a better future.
